Tapiserya: Philippine Indigenous Design Exploration is an online and interactive
magazine that is an offshoot of a thesis by Kyla de Leon, a fourth-year AB Multimedia Arts student of Southville International School and Colleges. With particular focus on abel Iloco, hablon, and Yakan textiles from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, respectively, Tapiserya aims to underline the cultural significance of these indigenous textiles, showcase their variety, and demonstrate their adaptability to modern life, in terms of innovative fashion pieces.


Through Tapiserya, Kyla shares HABI’s desire to spread more awareness about
the beauty and uniqueness of our indigenous textiles. Please find the link to the
