This book hopes to usher in a new generation of children playing with paper dolls while having fun being introduced to the world of Philippine traditional textiles.

Created by Edriana (“Rian”) Yupitun, HABI’s youngest Youth Ambassador volunteer, the HABI Girls represent the country’s three major islands: Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao. Each girl’s aparador or closet has her island’s traditional weaves. Rian had drawn inspiration from her two sisters’ and her own personal style of dressing.

May those who acquire this book begin their own personal journey of our Philippine handwoven textiles, and become proud weave wearers like our HABI Girls Lucia from Luzon, Vivi from the Visayas, and Minnie from Mindanao.
